my sweet auntie connie picked the perfect time to visit her ol' ak (but couldn't convince my uncle jeff to come along, sad face. we missed YOU!!!) in between some showery days, there was plenty of sunshine and heat (but of course, nothing compared to that sacramento oven heat!). we made it to the zoo, visited the b & b where she stayed and had some play time in our front yard. oh, and lots of eating and quite dinners (thanks, husband!) to catch up and gab about the great state. alaska certainly isn't for everyone, but those close to me know how it can just grab you, enrapt you in all its glory. i know auntie misses the faces and scenery, but she's got 7 outstanding reasons to be in cali. (see: casey, sam, lyla & connor and marky, mindy & royce.) oh, we miss you already, auntie connie!
