my kid's version of sick

ok, hear me out.  i don't enjoy my kiddos being sick, being the germaphobe/ocd/clean-freak that i am.

but.

i do love that they want to watch movies.  all day.

i do love that jack's a little less feisty.  and a little more sweet.

i do love the cuddles.

i do love their pitiful voices and stuffy noses with requests like i'm firsty or ca'i have more popsuckles?  even dylan.  she's started pointing to her open mouth when she wants more of something.

quiet time for the babes means quiet time for mama!  weeeee!  i wrapped up our taxes and put a large dent in a book i've been trying to finish since december.

the kids came down with fevers within an hour of one another.  i'm of the opinion that two sick kids is better than one.  really.  because then you don't have to fuss with keeping one contained to contaminated area A, which usually is the parent's bedroom.  as you'll see, the sickly babes were content to watch movies in mama's bed.  that's what jb calls it.  mama's bedwoom, mama's bafwoom.  mama's closet.  oh, poor dada.

dumbo, open season, ratatouille and toy story 2 were watched by jack this week.  looped.  on repeat most days.  dylan enjoyed dumbo and averaged 30-40 minutes of viewing pleasure, but quickly, she needed human {mama} interaction.

this is how we started off the week, but i'm happy to report they are feeling much better.  (and back to their running-the-halls-climbing-the-walls-fighting-over-lovies-albeit-happy little selves.)

they heart dumbo.
