sunrise, beach, dylan + company, sunset - day 3

another early wake up, this morning started just after 4:30.  yeouch!  dylan woke and was ready to go.  so, like our last maui vacation, when jack was the early riser, i corralled dylan outside to scamper about the lawn, so as to allow dada and jackie to snooze a little longer.  she didn't want much to do with the beach, so we just walked along the pathways, gazing at the flowers, breathing in the maui air and admiring the smattering of clouds overhead.

notice her freshly painted piggies?!  that's what you do on stormy maui evenings.  i can't remember where dada and jack ran off to, but i do recall that it was just me and my daughter in the quiet.  with the storm outside, raining with thunder and lightning, i plopped her on the counter and quickly brushed on a coat.  she helped with the drying.  she thought it was real funny to blow on her tootsies.

once everyone was fed, we made our way down to wailea again.  what a great afternoon at the beach!  gramma d and mark came with us.  sand animals, lots of bodies being buried (and recovered, don't worry) and plenty of buckets full of water for dylan to splash in.  ok, so she likes the ocean, but only if it's brought to her.

 hat! off!

jb takes his beach playing seriously...
and apparently the copy-cat does too!

she did this for ten-days straight:
fill.  pour.  empty.  repeat.
mark, gramma d, benji & jack

 one, two, three, weeee!

my bottoms fell down with this wave...

 mark & jack's alligator

could totally get used to this.
yep.

 i'm a regular madisen!
(tell me you've seen splash.)

 wasn't even phased.

ridiculous cuteness.

 her too.

after the beach, we ate.  then bathed.  and finally, slept.  after naps, it was snuggle time with family members.  nana lynn, auntie lory, great grandma and great auntie alice were staying just two doors down.  so if they were home, they were getting bombarded with one kid or the other.  gramma d, mark and the corey's were in the building across from us, but because we had a ground floor unit, we often saw when they would walk to the pool or the beach.  and if the kids happened to spot them, whatever they were doing was interrupted with a hug or two.

 dyl loves her auntie yory

 cute.

i think someone has a crush...

 mark's sooo funny!
 lookit those long legs!
she's a mover and a shaker!

  1. AHHH I want to see more!!! Keep them coming!!!

I just LOVE the clouds and the sunset.

Jack is just a natural in the sand and beach. I just love his smile and pure enjoyment of beeing there :)

Dilly's smile just pulls you right in in every picture. I really adore the picture of Grandma Dianne and her snuggling. Could it get any cuter?!?!

Ps. You make a beautiful mermaid. How fun is that picture :)
