may love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
may good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
may peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
may all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
i love this day; daydreaming of ancestors, relishing green garb, and now, snow. yes, snow. big, fat, fluffy flakes falling on this thursday morning. jack was eager to see me in the middle of the night (he wet the bed), and after i had wiped the sleep from my eyes, i noticed the front yard was blanketed in white. yes, yes, i know. it's supposed to be springtime, but oddly enough, if we don't get snow in march, it will just come in april (as it did last year). so i welcome it; these irish eyes are smiling.
we didn't quite get around to making cookies at christmastime - just waaay to busy with the dil, constantly needing to be held and jack constantly not wanting to sit still - and i've been feeling guilty about it ever since. so today posed the perfect opportunity. i didn't have a clover cookie cutter, but i did have a cloud-shaped one. and, what is the one word that we mothers live by? improvise! a little green frosting and voila! clovers. kinda.
dilly's you talkin to me face
jackie's big, fierce CHEESE face
mama, i all sticky-dirty
ta-da!
my little self-soother
can you guess which one jack decorated???
bingo
