father's day at the deshka

as noted in the previous "fishing" blog, dylan was left at home with nana while the former miebs-threesome took to the river.  the little su is now closed to king fishing, so we were forced to tackle the big su and deshka river.  it's nice to visit elsewhere, as we are quite comfortable navigating the little su, but the deshka holds its own fun as well.  while fishing from the boat isn't something we like to make a habit of (as our child usually likes to roam the shore) he did very well.  content to cast his own fishing line, devour sammiches and snacks from the bow and push his dump truck from one end of the boat to the other, jack was able to keep himself entertained.  i think he enjoyed all the attention from dada and i, too.

 working it

love these sweet moments with my boy.

this feels wrong without dylan's cute face!

with the river low enough, we found a nice beach to throw rocks and scour for treasures.  nothing like a big splash to make the kid erupt into fits of laughter.  ohhh, mama!  dat was a BIG one!

impromptu kisses being blown my way
 treasure!

wish i could bottle up the scent of the sitka rose
 ... and this boy, too.
